Update to the Lab the "V-Group" built.

I really do have to get a building and rent it to the Commonwealth!  Nobody cares about this so the sale appears that it will go thru.  Now it appears that the V-Group decided that it wanted another 250K a year in rent.
So what does the Commonwealth do?  It appears that they just rolled over again.  The Lease Agreement?  Don't worry about it, a minor inconvenience!  So over 20 years this world class whatever will cost the suckers, oops! I meant taxpayers another 5 million.  Chump change in the scheme of things.

Immigration Wolf Packs

This Immigration thing just goes from bad to worse.  We get treated to the deal that McCain-Kennedy cooked up and we manage to stop it.  Now we have Kennedy-Specter with another deal that only a Democrat could love.

I am afraid that we will ultimately lose unless the American people wake up to the fact that we are under attack by a Cabal of Evil Wolf Packs.  And these SOB's smell blood!  And what a collection of wolves it is:

The Democratic Wolf Pack- Cheap Labor and Cheap Votes.  To say nothing of the perpetuation of Big Government.

The Republican Wolf Pack- Cheap Labor and (they wish) Cheap Votes.

The Big Business Wolf Pack- Cheap Labor and amnesty for breaking the law and endangering the country.

The Roman Catholic Wolf Pack- Fill the Pews and lots more victims for Catholic Charities to spend money on and continue to perpetuate itself.

The Protestant Wolf Pack-Lots of Converts to fill the empty churches.

Farmers and Agriculture Wolf Pack-Cheap and abundant labor.  It is more akin to slavery but who cares as long as the special interests get what they want.

Everything else that is being said about why they want to do this is just a lot of smoke to cover what they are doing.

If the American people don't wake up and decide that National Security trumps everything else we are doomed!

The Lab the "V Group" built.

In a Commonwealth on the Eastern Seaboard the Environmental boys and girls decided they needed to build a new lab.  After 30 years in a real dump it was needed.  So the word was put out and after a lot of screwing around at long last the "V Group" prevailed.  And all the little environmentalists were told about the wondrous new lab.  The powers that be waxed eloquently about this State of the Art, World Class Lab.  This wonderful "Green" building.  So agreements and leases were signed and the games began.

It seems that the "V Group" never could quite manage to even remotely meet the requirements or the time lines or the terms of the lease.  No problem!  The Environmental types just rolled over like good little puppy dogs each and every time.  Originally this was going to cost the taxpayers about 1.6 mil a year. So over a 20 year lease with "pass thru" costs it would have cost the taxpayers about 40 mil for a building that could be purchased outright for 27 million.  But it gets better!

Every place I have been you get your electrical power from the power company and you have a back-up system for when Met-Ed goes down.  This is of course the logical thing to do!  Not so fast!  The Environmentalists had a better idea:  Use Co-Gens owned and operated by the "V Group" as the primary power source and use Met-Ed as the back-up.  This works well I suppose as long as everything stays running and the "customer" doesn't question the power bills.

Now being environmentalists it was very important that we should stay close to nature and some interesting and unique ways of doing this were discovered.  One way we stay close to nature is that sometimes it rains-inside.  One of my favorites is the "waterless urinals"!  These enable us on some days to truly commune with the smells of nature.  The mind boggles!

Several years later and we have now reached a true plateau.  Depending on whose figures you use, over the next 20 years the taxpayers will spend from 80 to 100 million dollars(rent and pass thru expenses)for a building that can be bought outright for 27 million.  In fact the commonwealth is going to let the "V Group" sell the building for 27 million.  The buyer appears to be a company in another state.  So to add insult to injury the taxpayers will pump 80 to 100 million dollars of the commonwealths money into the economy of another state.
Isn't it wonderful how we are willing to help those less fortunate than us?

Through out this saga over a period of years Commonwealth officials and employees(some being paid 90+ thousand dollars a year) have known all about these little things and many more the rest of us don't know about.  They have all gone along to get along.  And yet this building is such an embarrassment to the Department and the Commonwealth that there has never been a grand opening.  The Secretary has never visited to my knowledge(of course it is questionable how much the Secretary really knows) and I think one can safely say that the "Greenness" of the building is a joke.  Through it all only one person that I know of has ever questioned the propriety of this let alone used terms such as "Corruption", "Fraud" or "Malfeasence".  Of course any mention of those words is met with Monumental Righteous Indignation!  To give credit where it is due a feeble effort was made to request  the money to buy the building.  Of course no money was available.
The Commonwealth of course has no problem finding hundreds of millions of dollars for stadiums and casinos.

To go to the Attorney Generals office would of course be an exercise in futility.  I went to a reporter.  The silence is deafening!  Obviously the Fix is in!  I realize I am the only one who smells an odor here and that no one will do anything.  But at least when they jump down the rabbit hole I can say tried to do something about it.
If this isn't corruption and or fraud I don't what is.

The winners?  The "V Group", the buyer out of state, The Politicians and Political hacks!  The losers?  The taxpayers!  Who else?

Immigration War

This Immigration thing is really getting to be ugly.  Bush and his mouthpieces are now accusing everyone who is opposed to this Amnesty give away as unpatriotic.  Nancy Chavez wrote a particulary vicious column.  It is readily available on Townhall so I won't repeat it.  Mrs. Chavez seems to equate this as a racial issue.  If
you are opposed to it you are a racist.  I'm totally opposed to this no matter who we are talking about.  Mexicans or three legged camel jockeys from Zanzibar.  Doesn't matter!  I am opposed.

Perhaps some clarification of the issue would help.

First and foremost we do not have an immigration problem.  Nor do we have an illegal immigration problem, that is an oxymoron!

We do have:

1.  A Border Security/Defense problem.
2.  A Law Enforcement problem
3.  A Labor Law Enforcement problem.

These 3 have resulted in a massive and obscene "Illegal Alien" and "Terrorism" problem.

These issues are easily dealt with and rectified.

It's simple!  Border Security/Defense is not and never has been a Law Enforcement problem.  It is and always has been a National Defense issue.  Quit the screwing around and have the military secure the borders!
We do not need any new laws.  Instead we need to enforce the laws we already have.  What a unique concept!
Enforce the law and we will need traffic cops at the border to handle the traffic into good ole Mexico!

None of this will ever happen simply because it is so blasted simple!
